Our founders bonded over a shared love for theatre and a strong desire to give back to the greater community. While we all share a passion for performing, we have found that we each feel called to a different type of art. From dancing to directing to writing and stage managing, we all had something different we wanted to share. We created Sterling with the hope of cultivating our individual passions and weaving them together into something beautiful. We chose the name Sterling because it pulls one letter from each of our names, reminding us that while we all have our own interests, we can truly shine together.

Sterling is a community arts organization. That means that we want to explore and develop all parts of the arts. Just like a community theatre, we showcase acting, singing, and dancing. However, what sets us apart is a dedication to fostering all aspects of artistry. We hope to grow and adapt to encompass the passions and interests of our members. Whether your passion is writing, stage managing, painting or shining bright up on stage, you are welcome in our organization.

We at Sterling want to incorporate every aspect of the performing arts. We want to hold workshops for those looking to dip their toes into a new passion, create dazzling productions, host innovative events to show off our talents, and more.
